F. Edward Wright
Ed Wright graduated from the Naval Academy in 1956, married a fellow naval officer 4 years later, raised three daughters and served 21 years in the N.S.G.A. It was while he was a young cadet in the navy on a trip to Washington, DC that one of his friends dragged him to the National Archives and got him hooked on genealogy.

After retiring from the Navy in 1977 Ed went on to teach high school math and computer science for several years in his second career. During this time he also served as editor of the Maryland Genealogical Society Bulletin for about 10 years and has served as President of the Prince George's Genealogical Society and the Upper Shore Genealogical Society.

Ed founded Family Line Publications in Westminster, Maryland around 1988 and sold it ten years later. He moved to Lewes, Delaware and started his next company (originally called Delmarva Roots) Colonial Roots. Today he continues to edit and write books as the President and Publisher of the company.
